Well, unfortunately, it’s not really defined. That’s why I write to you what I think of such an RC Car and make you aware of a few things that you didn’t immediately notice when reading the ad.

  • 1/18 – The car is relatively small for an RC Car. The “Normal” scale for the big smaller offroad RC Cars is 1/10 the one for the slightly larger 1/8 then there is 1/5 that is quite huge. 1/18 is actually small.
  • 4 WD is Allrad, that should be clear, but this means even more parts in such a cheap car. Maybe you should put on 2 WD if it should be very favorable.
  • 70 km/h – is a pretty high final speed for such a small car. The fact that the car can reach such a high end speed on the picture with a brush motor is impossible. So, it’s an adage that should somehow dazzle you. If the car runs 20 km/h it is still fast, i.d.r. completely enough. Frequently, somewhere a star is that the car, with components not included in the delivery, can be tuned to such a speed. The components are more expensive than the whole car. In the worst case, there is talk of a “massual” speed. If it were at 1/18 then 3.88 km/h, that would be really slow. But the name Crawler explain. “Crawler” is a class of RC Cars that are intended for the slow “crawling” about obstacles.
  • WL Toys – Is a great Chinese brand for technical toys. Not the worst. The articles are usually distributed among different brands. What can be difficult is the spare part supply. Although there are often matching parts that can be identified, they can be almost impossible.

Finally, the ultimate tip to the RC Car. Buy an RC Car, only where the most important parts are available. A car where the crossbar is broken or a shock absorber is torn remains unusable for Eternal if you do not get the part. With RC-Cars, even with careful handling during driving, something is almost always broken. The parts should therefore be easily and quickly available.

My advice, put the same amount or something more on the budget. Then you get usable 1:10 car.

You should also put a bit of money into a 2nd battery (30,- €) and a faster charger. (50,- €)

I own one of WL Toys(12423)

I got it at the time for 80€. The battery lasts only 10 minutes and a half I bought a battery. I’m very happy with it. It’s really fun!

No speed, no fun!
