La musique qu’ils ont (entendu) ______ jouer était belle. Muss man ein e an das “entendu” hängen (wegen musique weiblich)? Schließlich steht da ein “que”, verstehe es aber nicht ganz. VG

In this context, I think it is a matter of talking about the anniversary of celebration. I’d rather formulate something like: In view of the many shootings/amocrates, the days of one year are not enough to remind each individual(s) with a commemorative day.
