Nothing will be displayed, but that doesn’t have to be called. Let DMDE run over it and see if it’s really empty.

Or format the stick and remove the hook when formatting quickly if you want to be sure that no more data is to be saved with home funds.

If you want the data back, DMDE is your friend…

Sure – the question was if the USB stick is empty…

  • Do you know if he formatted it quickly or completely? No!
  • Did you check with a Hex editor or data recovery tool whether something can be recovered? No!

So how can you say the stick is empty?

You don’t even know why he asks… Maybe he gives the thing in the believe it is empty and dozens of private or company or customer data are still on it and can be restored with the simplest means…

And that doesn’t have to mean anything – we’re recovering data every day after accidental quick formatting.
