🥺😱 It looks like you really did a lot of trouble and I really appreciate it! But a hamster does not need height, it needs minimum 1m length or 1qm running surface on one floor.
From a fall height of 15cm it can break a bit, and the part looks like the hamster could fall around the 30cm deep.
Aquarien you get spottbillig, sometimes even free on ebay, before all the big ones are going to taste, check out if there is something in your environment.
Edit: I still admire your ingenuity 😅 beautifully that you have given so much effort.
I can only agree with you! A lot of trouble is in there
No, it’s not kind. A hamster needs a floor space (without floors) of minimum 100×50! More like 150×50! Also, there should be no cage rods as hamsters can seriously hurt. Also, for example, the entrances on the photo are far too steep, there is no hamster. Also, a cage should not have such floors, as hamsters are height-blind, thereby falling down and can seriously hurt.
Here you will find a lot of information on how to keep Hamster correctly: https://www.hamsterbacken.com
No, it’s not kind. The base area is with 80x40cm much too small base area you cannot replace with more floors. And hamsters are not good climbers, as height-blind animals they can easily crash and seriously hurt themselves.
There’s a big wheel missing.
I can’t discover a sand bath.
The houses are partly of coniferous wood, this is completely unsuitable for hamsters because the resin contained therein can glue the jaw pockets.
The sand bath is such a corner and it has two wheels of a grid and one of wood
Unfortunately no. A hamster does not need any floors that are even dangerous for him, as well as the grids above. The base area of the aquarium is too small.
No, it’s not kind. The measurements 80×40 are too little. In addition, hamsters should not be held in cages, nor multi-storey. Hamsters don’t want a house that goes up, but a large floor area.
You see the work that is behind it and it is absolutely sweet, but really art-friendly it is not 🙈
– Base area at least 0,5m2. So 100cm x 50cm.
– Levels: you can move in a plane, but the drop height may be 10 cm, as hamsters can hurt very quickly when falling.
– Crate: no longer art-friendly. Hamsters don’t have altitude perception and climb up… just let go and bang on a level. In addition, many desperately put the bowl through the grids, squeeze or worse. If there are other pets living in the household, then there is no grid. It can end bloody.
– Houses, Inventory: unfortunately, often, especially at Fressnapf etc. stuff is sold that is called natural houses and climbing games from barkwood. The Trixie brand is, unfortunately, very represented. This wood, which has a dark edge, is usually tacked, clamped or nailed: all sources of danger for hamster. And as the pinewood is, after processing, it still sticks to the hamster the jaws, which is life-threatening. Also the essential oils of wood are not good for hamsters.
The height of the strut looks good:)
The best for the hamster is when you get a bigger aquarium, with 100×50, also bigger, is always better. And then there’s a grating lid on it, pull in second plane and then get appropriate inventory. Many sources of danger are thus banned. The entire grating attachment is unnecessarily dangerous even if it is popular 🙂
Greetings:)
You can see that you have troubled you, but unfortunately it’s too small and too high.
Hamster needs space on a flat surface, no height. For a Goldhamster you should have at least the measurements: 120x60x60cm
For a Dwarf Hunt 100x50x50cm
It is suitable for species from 1qm (e.g. 200x50cm).
