What do you think of the car?

Von der Qualität her ist der DeLorean sehr gut. Er rostet nicht, weil er aus Edelstahl ist und hat einen Y-förmigen Kastenrahmen, der in seiner Mitte den Tank aufnimmt. Bei einem Unfall tritt kein Kraftstoff aus.
Aber der Motor ist ein bisschen schwächlich. Mit dem hohen Eigengewicht ist der 6-Zylinder Peugeot Motor leider etwas überfordert. Es gibt jedoch Firmen, die hier Abhilfe schaffen und bis zu 220 PS aus dem Motor holen, ohne das die Lebensdauer darunter leidet. (Turbolader mit Ladeluftkühler und andere Nockenwelle)
Der größte Nachteil ist sicher sein Spritverbrauch. Unter 14 Ltr/100km geht nichts (Stadtverkehr), wer Überland oder Autobahn fährt kommt auf 10, wenn man es mit dem Gaspedal nicht übertreibt.
Schau mal bei Wikipedia rein, da steht ein schöner Artikel über den DMC12.
Im Internet kann man glaub ich sogar Bausätze für einen Fluxkompensator kaufen. Dann kommt man nie mehr zu spät in die Schule oder zur Arbeit.
Ein gutes Auto ist das gewiss nicht – eher ein Kultobjekt.
Der Schlitten wird schon seit Jahren nicht mehr gebaut.Für ein gut erhaltenes Fahrzeug zahlst Du weit mehr als 20tausend.

Von diesen Auto’s hast Du keine Ahnung, kennst vermutlich nur den Film.
Der Wagen ist durchaus alltagstauglich oder für den Urlaub, wenn er gut restauriert wurde.
Ich glaube der Preis kommt daher, dass der DeLorean DMC-12 das Auto ist, aus dem Doc Brown in Zurück in die Zukunft seine Zeitmaschine gebaut hat.
Das ist einfach nur ein Kult-Auto wegen dem Fluxx-Kompensator ;-). Ist das einzige Auto was der damalige Chef John Delorean gebaut hat. Danach ist er paar Jahre später verstorben
