If you drink some sugary lemonade before bed, the blood sugar level increases. This sugar level stimulates sleep hormones and thus promotes sleep.

Only an increased sugar consumption before bed can interfere with sleep and shorten the low sleep phases, which makes us feel less recovered and energyless.
