is this a panic attack?

I'm 17 and currently on vacation with my parents. We were sleeping and suddenly (which happens often) my dad couldn't breathe because he was coughing and he was practically choking. I then got up in shock. When it was all over (about an hour ago) I felt a bit sick, had the feeling I was going to throw up and my pulse was racing. Now, an hour later, it's still like that, only a little lighter, so when I lie down to sleep I have to breathe quickly or I'll throw up and I still feel scared. What should I do?

I also did breathing techniques and walked around and drank a lot

You may have been so scared by your father’s seizure that it caused you these symptoms, especially since it probably happened in your low sleep phase. It’s like a little trauma. If you already know about your father, you should try to keep quiet because it’s over again.

Are you susceptible to panic attacks? If it doesn’t get better, I’d get some help.
