Is this a bad therapist?
I know a therapist—well, "know" is an exaggeration. But there are therapists and coaches who claim that the only thing that matters in life is willpower.
And if you have an iron will, you can achieve absolutely anything. And thinking that you can't achieve everything you want is, in this coach's eyes, a big problem.
Because when you develop an iron will it leads to action, and these actions lead to immense success.
But, I objected, NO, the environment also plays a big role, intelligence, health.
But this coach said, yes, but only to a very small extent, and the only obstacle is dying early.
So, this coach really believes that if you just want enough, and the will turns into action, you can achieve anything.
No matter where you are now, the coach said, the only obstacle is yourself, and if you want to become a millionaire?
Absolutely achievable; you just have to want it and work hard. Billionaire? If you really want it, it's absolutely achievable.
As I said, for this coach the only limit is the human psyche and mindset.
But aren't these just nonsensical calendar sayings? It's nonsense that everyone has the same opportunities, isn't it?
She also said that she is annoyed by her many clients who sometimes contradict her. She said that it is always his fault when something doesn't work out in life; it's all about mindset.
Is a therapist/coach who thinks this way a good or bad therapist? Is mindset everything?
I think he’s right and that doesn’t mean that all people have the same chances. The will can really bring you anywhere. But not all start at the same starting point and under the same conditions. And with best will it can also take much longer to arrive at the set goal than with others. And there is also simply no single person who always has the energy in order to keep the will to the goal. It’s just human to have a crisis.
Where does he think the Will gives wings?
Bullshit.
What you can achieve depends on your being and whether you are lucky in life.
Good or bad does not fit, because there are people with very little will and deed. For these clients, the helper could be helpful for a while.
In other cases, I may give you the spell:
If you want to make God laugh, tell him your plans.
But, do you really think with the right will you can achieve everything?
I see the world from a spiritual perspective and d decide in the will whether it is God’s will or a personal will of ego.
With the will of the ego you can actually achieve a lot, but does the soul also do well?
