Is it easier to catch up on bwr or French?

I'm in the 8th grade this half-year. I have to choose between two majors because I want to transfer to a Realschule (secondary school) now… Either BWR or French. If I take French, I still have to finish this semester with BWR. And does anyone know which is easier to catch up on? Or might I have a better chance of switching at the end of the school year to catch up during the summer holidays, since I'd still have a chance to improve at the Gymnasium (high school).

It depends on you. Do you fall languages easily? Or do you think you’d rather be (self-learning)?

BwR is in large and whole three-set, theory/basic knowledge and formulas.

All I learned in the 7th class BwR, I could forget again. A lot from the 8th class is basic knowledge!

If you were to start French only in the 9th, you would be missing two years.

Can you already have a little French? Or do you know what BwR is?

Wait till the end of the year? Well, I wouldn’t recommend it. You can still switch to the gymnasium after school.
