Should I update the BIOS?
Hello, I have a question: should I update my BIOS or not? My BIOS is from 2013, and the most recent is 2016. There's also one from 2018, but that's a beta, and I don't want to install it because sometimes my BIOS freezes for a short time, only for 3, 4, 5 seconds. And…

The resolution is identical, but at p each image consists of a full image while at i (interlaced) it consists of half images. 1080i is usually not used anymore
To explain it a bit more detailed: a video with 30 frames per second consists of 30 complete images at 1080p. A video with 1080i consists only of 15 half-images for the odd lines and 15 half-images for the straight lines that are displayed alternately. This has the advantage that the amount of data is lower and the disadvantage that it tends more to flicker.
The resolution is identical (1920×1080 pixels) p/i stand for Progressive and interlaced.
When progressive, full images are transmitted to your screen to display
In the case of interlaced, half images are transmitted which then give a full image in the corresponding resolution.
The resolution is the same, only the mode of representation is different. P is Progressive. The pixels are all displayed simultaneously. I’m Interlaced. The lines are shown alternately. 1080p is definitely the better variant.
1080i is still hurling.
There are 1080 lines vertical.
1080p should usually look better because the technology is simpler.
1080p is native.
