Is this normal?

Hey, I took in two rabbits today and they immediately started exploring the enclosure and the run and were even making detours. When it got dark, I brought them back into the enclosure. A short while later, I checked on them again to make sure everything was okay and noticed that one of the two rabbits was just sitting in the corner. I thought that was normal, so I left. But when I wanted to check one last time to make sure everything was okay, the rabbit was still sitting in the corner. And because I want my animals to be happy, I quickly start to worry that something is wrong.

So is that normal?

Thanks in advance for your answers!

Observe whether the rabbit is eating and defecating. If not, that's a reason to go to the vet, and quickly.

Otherwise, it's normal for rabbits to rest from time to time. Especially in a new enclosure, this corner will definitely feel the safest.

I have two rabbits. They both like to feel very safe at night. Bonnie and Schnuffel are very active during the day, but very quiet at night. That's why we have a door without windows in our (homemade) rabbit hutch, which we only open in exceptional circumstances. (We had this before with our other three rabbits; two of them died naturally, and they also sought refuge here.) After dinner and a bit of final romping time, Bonnie and Schnuffel almost always retreat to this door and stay there the entire night.
So it can be completely normal and okay from rabbit to rabbit, especially if they look for their own comfortable corner at night!

Only if you notice that the rabbits are extremely frightened, their character traits are changing, their habits are drastically different, or they are breathing very quickly and hectically, would I be worried. Otherwise, everything is fine πŸ™‚

This can be completely normal. Especially if the animals are new, let them get used to their new surroundings first. Keep an eye on whether they're eating or have any injuries. I'd go to the vet in a week anyway and have them checked out. You always do that with new animals, but first they should get used to their new surroundings, as long as they're eating and aren't exhibiting any other symptoms, like sneezing or diarrhea.

I would also ask the previous owners if the animals have been vaccinated. Rabbits are the only rodents that need to be vaccinated, as they can die quickly from myxomatosis, which is transmitted by any kind of biting fly.

Nur sind Kaninchen keine Nagetiere.

Wenn es den restlichen Tag aktiv war und gefressen hat wird es wohl einfach mΓΌde sein und schlafen.
