Is this normal?

Hello,

Apparently, I'm getting my braces on February 11th. What surprised me a bit is that they scheduled an appointment a week before the scheduled date (February 4th), and my legal guardian is also supposed to be there.

My orthodontist said that she wanted to do another x-ray before she gets her braces in, and now I'm not sure if they want to do that on February 4th, because they wanted an impression of my teeth since it's been a good year and a half since my last impression and x-ray.

Now the real question is whether this is normal, because I find it a bit strange and I'm not entirely sure if it's really supposed to be like this.
Best regards

Leonie

Since here is a layman forum, medical questions are not really sensible. Either you have to trust your orthodontist, ask again, or you’ll get a second opinion on another orthodontist.

I got a firm chip the other day. It’s normal how you feel. But this is necessary because the brace is individually adapted to you. Besides, your teeth always move a little bit every day.

I hope I could help you.

I think that there are certain precautions to make sure that the adjustment of the braces can also go wrong. You can trust the doctors there.
