Is this allowed or forbidden?
Hello dear community,
I know the question sounds strange and it is.
So the following:
I would like to take the train to Munich during the summer holidays. The last train from my station leaves at 23:56 and arrives in Munich at 01:09.
But now it's still a good 5 hours until morning.
My question is this:
Are you allowed to lie down or sit on a bench with a blanket and pillow and your luggage and sleep or rest for the 5 hours?
I think that’s allowed. In principle, you could also buy a tag ticket for the S-Bahn, put yourself in there and sleep a bit. I think that would be quieter and more comfortable than sleeping on a bench. Or you’re putting yourself in to Mc Donald’s, buying you something to drink, and you’re gonna get out of there.
Edit: At Münchner Hbf, there is also a waiting area, you can also sleep.
With blanket and pillow, you can make yourself comfortable, but also take into consideration the other passengers. And leave your feet down.
With a valid ticket it is possible to spend the waiting time on the station. In the past, there were even waiting rooms for this and as far as I know or something like this was re-established in Munich.
Sure. I would possibly put a sign “just wait on the next train” or something similar.
