Is this a crime on Snapchat?
Hey,
I wanted to ask how this is going. I received a post on Snapchat that was definitely a criminal offense. I took a screenshot of the chat post as proof for further action, but nothing more. The person saw that I took a screenshot and said I didn't act correctly legally. His argument in response to my question about which law I was violating was data protection.
What do you all mean?
Am I committing a crime if I take a screenshot of a chat/picture he sent me? (I won't share this screenshot anywhere on the internet!)

No, you won’t do anything if the screenshot serves as evidence of a crime. I would pass screenshot and then delete the screenshot.
