Get the manual for the machine first. There should be how much oil belongs in general, which oil must be pure and whether the mark is the maximum (but I suspect as a maximum).
So too much oil is in it, which should be out.
In general, I would make an oil change at your place, as you do not know whether it is the right oil or how old it is. Then, of course, make the filter the same.
Then you can also fill in the correct amount.
