You need space, money and time. There are enough people who work going to have a model building hobby, whether railway, cars or Lego now.
Interest also disappears due to prices. I was passionate collector of cars of size H0 (1:87). When I see what they used to cost and how much they cost today. I haven’t bought cars for 10 years.
So I personally don’t like “model railway” at all, but if I look at the Intermodellbau Dortmund for the last few years, I won’t get rid of the feeling that there are only model railway enthusiasts! Everything else there is only marginal phenomena! So you should find help or at least like-minded in some forums!!
