Is the Turbo Tax App tax program available in German?

I'm an American living in Germany. I used to pay a lot of money for a tax advisor, and now I'm looking for alternatives. Turbo Tax was recommended for my American tax return, and I heard you can also get it for your German tax return. Unfortunately, I can't find a single link to the German version of this program. Can anyone help? Friends (whom I can't reach right now) said that if you've already filed your German tax return with Turbo Tax, the American return should be easier.

There are various possibilities, there are the forms and Elster.de (free) and there are PC programs and apps (seriously cost something). And there are wage tax relief associations and tax advisors.

Pick one.

Of the apps, I personally only keep something conditional if it is to be an app, here take the favorable variant that can be quite all the same.

There are a lot to say now:

Take Zasta/Taxfix/Controlbot etc pp. I got a lot out of it.

The 4.99 software of Aldi or even Elster.de would have been able to. In addition, the fees are often disproportionately high for the apps. All surpluses are then reported in the tax return a bank account that belongs to Zasta or Express Tax (for others I don’t know if this is the case), but that is supposed to be your bank account and just worked with flat rates that do not exist or advertise with utopian refunds.

That’s why my advice:

Use best Elster.de

It is free and directly from the financial administrations. The operators of the apps and programs also only use this interface. And I know professional experience that you have exactly what you have entered. In the apps/programs, this cannot be the case.

With Elster+, the administration now slowly comes to have the human smartphone behind it and a scan of the documents is now also possible directly with the smartphone, the data is stored and can be transmitted directly to the FA.

With a bit of luck, the Elster soon also has an app to complete the explanations
