Is the student ID valid as a 9€ ticket?

If you study in Munich, you have to pay a "solidarity contribution" each semester for the semester ticket. Your student ID card serves as a ticket at night. You can also purchase a semester ticket, which is also valid during the day.

So far, it has only been announced that the semester ticket will be a 9€ ticket and that there will be a refund for these 3 months.

But what if you only paid this "solidarity contribution"? That's more than €9 per month. Does the student ID become a €9 ticket, or do I have to buy the €9 ticket and get the "solidarity contribution" for those three months back?

You will only receive a binding statement from the AStA of your university after (if) the 9€ ticket was officially decided. Everything else would be pure speculation

I doubt that. The topic is very topical and concerns all students. They'll be very behind it. If this is the case, there will be a FAQ with all the special regulations.

The lack of information to this extent lies on the one hand in the complexity of the issue and the legal uncertainty that still prevails.

And remember: if even the student representation, which is in direct exchange with the traffic associations, did not have reliable information. Then how are the chances that anyone from the Internet can give you an answer?
