Is the rock dove threatened with extinction?

Can they breed with city pigeons? City pigeons are domesticated pets, and they breed several times a year. Domesticated city pigeons, the original form, only breed once a year! What happens if city pigeons breed with rock pigeons? Could the city pigeons bring diseases with them?

The rock dove is not currently living in the wild. However, there are endangered species of dove, such as the rose-ringed dove and the fan-tailed dove. There were once only about 10 rose-ringed doves left on Mauritius. Thanks to conservation efforts, there are now about 350 in the wild. Nevertheless, the species is one of the rarest in the world.
