Is the raccoon coming out of the house again?

Hey guys,

A raccoon is currently sleeping on our windowsill at a height of about 8 meters.

Question number 1: Can you open the window and pet him (with the conscious risk of catching diseases through bites or scratches) or could he fall out in shock?

And question number 2: Will the raccoon manage to get back down without help, and what's it doing up here anyway? Don't they usually sleep in trees or tree hollows?

Hey,

I'm glad you took a picture. I like raccoons, they're really cute animals.

Now to your questions:

1. Question

No, please leave. A raccoon no matter how sweet he looks is a wild animal. He'd be terrified and maybe he could really fall down. Besides, you're right: you could be asked or scratched and caught something. Please don't risk.

Two. Question

He came up, too, so he comes down.

Wash bears are true climbers. You know exactly what they can and what they can't.

Don't worry, the little one can handle it.

Why he chose your home, I can't say. Animals often have a 6. Sense where they are welcome and where not.

So can it be that you are pet love and have animals yourself?

As I said, don't worry. He is so used to (climb) and creates the descent.

But if you feel better, put a chair under the window and wait until he wakes up. But that could take a while, because if I remember correctly, raccoons are night-active.

πŸ₯° Many thanks. Oh, it's cute. So with his pussy-tubes and his pussy-tail…

You're lucky you have such a sweet animal with you.

You don't have to come with that! Whoever determines what a pest is and what is not. Sure, you want to. And what is the biggest plague ever? Little tip: it is the animal on the planet, which is so stupid and destroys its own habitat, it knows and does nothing about it.

I have the problem that all the rabbits were stuffed by idiots. No more rabbits. So too stuffed in the sense of wood and plastic. In Finland, I made a course for bear-wolf hunters with elk dogs. Stock exchange was the only reason and I was positively surprised. I only hunt for the meat and for the profession. So I'm on my way to the professional hunter. Then you have a lot of sight on the dock;). How old are you who I can ask?

Until then, I have been hunting mainly for the production of food and protection of domestic animals + construction of low-game (eg: pheasant)

I haven't had a hunting holiday yet πŸ™

No. We wouldn't even do that. But they still have to be shot. They not only destroy the fields, they also destroy the local animals. As e.g. turkey, mouse weasel, seven-slee, etc.

Then it's good for people to take them out of Europe again

We agree on this point. Each animal should return to its original habitat if this is possible. Unfortunately, it is often no longer possible.

But tell me, what is the alternative? Kill all the raccoons? I'm definitely not there.

Huhn617

Then it's good if man takes them out of Europe again…I'm not trying to blame the animals, but if you want to feed in Germany, you shouldn't support the destruction of your food….

Who brought the animals into their unnatural environment?

Man.

Who is responsible for the fact that most animals have already died?

Man.

Who constantly goes beyond nature and tries to play God?

Man.

Don't try to blame the animals.

It is the person who has exposed or dragged these animals in his hybrids.

The animals only try to adapt to their new environment, no more.

But fortunately there are also people who try to iron out the mistakes.

That also speaks for itself.

Although you may be, but who new in Germany wants to feed you, you use the cultural landscape, this is now being protected, as 80 million people in the β€œnature cannot feed themselves. The raccoon comes from North America, there the animals are used with hm. Not here. You know what happened to the kiwis in New Zealand since there is marten fox and opossum. You see the human being as a pest, which is right, but don't speak to the washing bears. If you find the raccoon so great, you could stop eating? Also plants. For their protection, animals (for example, raccoons are shot)

I'd be happy if "my" raccoon would sleep in front of my window. He's been living under the roof for years. A couple of times I brought him something to feed and thought if I could get him to eat me out of my hand. He did it once, but from the sound he did, I decided that it didn't fit him.

I'd let the raccoon sleep quietly where he is, not scare him or bring him into trouble.

You can see how good raccoons can climb in this docu. Wash bears in residential areas have a fairly large area and are more individual walkers.

Yes, do it! I found the very revealing. Wanted to find out more about raccoons because one of them lives with me. My cats know him better than I do, because they often meet in the summer.

It doesn't stink if you mean that. He chose a larger piece of tarpaulin as a toilet and there is only dry faucet. The attic is also well ventilated. πŸ˜‰

The cats are 7 years old and grew up here. The raccoon lives here at least 10 years ago, because 10 years ago I moved here, was in the evening when it was almost dark, in the garden, looking up to the roof and wondering that the chimney is so round at the top πŸ˜‚. Then something moved and I saw the face. But raccoon on the roof, how should he get there, I thought and I forgot the thing again. In 2019, I wanted to know what animal lives on my attic and borrowed a marten trap. The next day the trap was closed, food was gone, but no one inside. Then I put the closed trap with food in it. The next day the food was gone, bowl cleanly licked. Then I'm up the stairs with flashlight when someone was active up there and saw the raccoon face 😻. When he turned to the side, I was amazed at how big he is.

From time to time I feed him as a welcome greeting and back and forth I see in the roof. But it's a "they" because once I got that she had a boy.

Maybe for food. Or the precinct. But if everything's going well so far, it'll stay like that.

Hopefully, the cats won't fight with him at some point. I'm afraid that couldn't go well.

Wash bears are smokers and like to get in there where there is food and is cozy.

This raccoon may not have made the ascent to the attic completely, where it is even more cozy around where his family has already populated everything. Normally, the rainpipes go up or even at the house growth…

In my area, they've been overhanded and are real pact spirits. People who care and even feed them, that's what makes ignorance written in the face.

These are all eaters. They're thirsty too. ECT

There's a group of 3-4 bears living in the garden. On a summer evening I sat down late when around the corner of the wall 2 bears were lying. One of them adored me and flocked the teeth (they do not see very well, but react to movement and with sense of smell). Then they stumbled when they spoke. They eat EVERYTHING, even apples from the trees.

or could he fall down from horror?

3x may guess!

He certainly won't stay there 24/7 and he will find his way back!

Question Number 1

Yes and yes, but if you were to try.

Question Number 2

I think he seems comfortable there. He likes to sleep in caves of trees but also on roof floors etc.

  2. When he comes up, he'll come down. They're not as stupid as housecats that don't dare down.

Close the window and the fingers of the animal. Washing bears are not cuddly animals. The animal could hurt you badly and transfer pathogens.

The animal could also be so frightened that it crashed.

The raccoons are very good climbers, where they come back down.
