The pump wheel is rotatable on the magnet. It has a clasp to not turn completely. This means that the motor can safely start in any position.
The whole is seated on a 53mm long ceramic shaft, which is in a rubber bearing on both sides. The wave is a bit sensitive. Even if it is broken, the pump is still running, but then it flaps.
