Is the high beam indicator light relevant for the TÜV?
Hello everyone,
A friend of mine's high beam indicator light in the cockpit no longer works, and he said it wasn't relevant to the MOT, but I'm not so sure. I haven't been able to find anything about it online. The high beam itself still works, by the way. Can anyone tell me more about this (with a source)?
Thank you!
Hello
must do or be bright enough (or blue enough) to be recognizable in daylight. And the TüV tester usually checks on the way from the light stand to the brake test stand on the light stand with the horn, stand light and wiper
Normally, the driver switches the lights himself during the tester to see if it lights. The control lamp will therefore probably not be considered at all. If you’re lucky.
But if he sits in it and turns on the light itself, you may come back.
I am not exactly informed about the recently valid guidelines, but the high-beam light control lamp is safety-relevant, so this is a considerable deficiency and causes the refusal of the TÜV plaque.
The control lamp is prescribed, it does not work and the examiner notices there is no plaque.
