Hello,

The brain stem is the core of the brain, which is responsible for regulating important body processes such as heartbeat and breathing. In addition, it also acts as a switching point for signals that travel between different parts of the brain and the rest of the body.
Functions

Movement – no ❌
Breathing – yes
Smell – no ❌
Food – no ❌
Drinking – no ❌

The brain stem is responsible for essential life functions such as controlling heart rate, blood pressure and breathing. He is also responsible for important reflexes such as the eyelid, swallow and cough reflex. Sleep and various sleep and dream phases are also controlled here.

You have to look at this. The brain stem is responsible for simple reflexes, sometimes from memory breathing, swallowing, coughing, riveting. But not for movements in general, and not even for the movements mentioned, because coughs and breathing can also be deliberately controlled to a certain degree.
Eating is also a bit more complicated, because biting and chewing are more or less conscious, but swallowing is a reflex that is only deliberately initiated, but then automatically drains.
In the senses the tribal brain is not at all involved. The smelling center is even very far from it, at the front in the brain.
