Is that a cartridge?

Good day everyone,

I found this piece today in the forest (which was used as a French training ground in the post-war period)

It weighs a good 50g and is 4.5 centimeters tall and 2cm in diameter. No numbers or letters are (or are no longer) recognizable.

I would like to know what it is, whether it poses any danger, or whether it is even legal to own something like that.

I look forward to every answer

best regards

Shotgun floor (Slug) probably caliber 12 or similar.

Is cast out of shotguns and is completely harmless in this state.

No, that's not a bullet. At least a projectile.

If it's the "ball" not the whole cartridge.

If it's a "ball", this size is a grenade and dangerous, yes.

But I don't see a detonator and the shape is funny.

It's not grenades.
