Is studying business administration a good idea?
Good morning,
I've completed my Fachabitur (university entrance qualification) and want to study business administration at university. I was always very good at business administration (I got a B). I enjoy it and find it interesting.
How well do you think I can keep up with my studies? Not everyone gets accepted, so what exactly do people look for to make sure you're accepted? Grades? Do you think I can still apply, or is it already too late?
thanks in advance
BWL can be studied at so many universities (so I mean generally universities and colleges of applied sciences). You can see what the universities ask for on the study program website of the respective university. Sometimes you have an NC, sometimes not, sometimes also a letter of motivation, e.g., etc. Different from university.
You can also find the current or previous NC on their page. BWL is often also a very large degree program. If the university has room for it, it also takes many. If you don’t learn, it’ll fly after the 3rd semester anyway.
Application deadline is different at each university. It is usually 3-4 months before the beginning of the semester, but there are also some who have this open for longer. However, you should take care to see when you can apply and make this timely (not 1 day before;), if you still need documents from health insurance etc.). Application deadlines are also always on the website.
If you would also recommend applying at several universities, you should not be accepted at a university that you have another Plan-B university;).
However, the public universities have to adhere to their order, so if you fill everything and are from the ranking almost before other applicants, then they can’t just say, for example, because you mean “Lukas” we don’t accept you.
Anyone who wants to study successfully must be able to research important information themselves.
Anyone who can’t do that or is too lazy will not come far in the course of their studies and probably fail in the application.
