Is paracetamol a placebo effect?

Is paracetamol a placebo because there is no evidence of how it works? I don't understand that. I have a fever but I'm afraid to swallow something that we don't know how it works and I don't want to swallow placebo tablets. I want to relieve my fever.

Nö. Paracetamol is not a placebo…

It is a well-researched pain and fever agent whose exact mode of action is not fully clarified, but it probably inhibits the formation of prostaglandins in the brain.
It is widely used and safe when used according to the instructions.

Just because the effect is not completely clarified does not mean that it does not work at all.

Paracetamol is an effective remedy for fever reduction and pain.

In Germany, no placebos should be sold as a medicine… so no invented effects in the package leaflet, etc…

No, Paracetamol has a credential. Not exactly up to the last detail knowing how something works does not mean that you don’t know DASS it works.
