Is MIT (or Ivy) really that demanding?

I applied for medical school through Hochschulstart and would now like to apply for veterinary medicine as well. Do I have to resubmit all my certified certificates, or are my documents stored there and just the application letter is sufficient?
Hello everyone, I'm moving to a new department in a few days and will have a new supervisor. Since I haven't received any feedback regarding my new responsibilities yet, I wanted to write to my future boss about an onboarding process, as I still have some unanswered questions. Do you think it would be a…
Hello everyone, I'm currently enrolled at a university and had my first day yesterday. Now I'm worried I won't be able to complete my studies due to the high failure rate mentioned there, and I'm also considering a change of heart. Is it possible to de-enroll now and enroll at a university where the enrollment…

Hello, I'll be studying electrical engineering at a university starting next semester, and I'd really like to spend a semester abroad (preferably in Scandinavia or an English-speaking country). What are the chances of being accepted? Is average academic performance sufficient, or do I have to be extremely good? And do I always get financial support,…
This is hard to say, as there are hardly any hand-resistant criteria for “heavy study”.
A criterion, however, would be that of the study breaks that are rather low at the Anglo-American elite units.
On the one hand, this is probably due to the higher motivation of students through the immense tuition fees and on the other hand to the interest of the universities to keep the students in order to continue to receive these fees (or not to frighten the wealthy parents and their donations). Accordingly, the offer of counselling and support for students is also greatly expanded there to prevent abortions.
A study at these universities is therefore quite feasible if one is in it for the first time, and this does not seem to be much heavier than a study in this country.
