Is marital status mandatory in applications?

Hello guys,

I'd like to ask whether I should include my marital status in my CV or cover letter? Is it mandatory?

I'm widowed and a single parent. While I'm at work, my grandparents look after my child, so I can focus on my work.

Thank you for your opinion.

Family status means: single, divorced, married, widowed

But not as your children are cared for, that would at best be a criterium for the employer, that your children are cared for, and you don’t have to go home all 2 hours and therefore are not available to the employer.

I never wrote my marital status in an application. Whether you give it to yourself in the interview. (For example, it is relatively usual to talk about existing children, but my boss himself has kids and is open there)

Alone would also not be the marital status, but you will probably be single.

As far as I remember, I haven’t given adult status for years. It’s interesting for the tax class, but not for my work.

No.

“Everyone moving” is also not a marital status.

I believe that the marital status does not necessarily have to be written into an application. I’ve never done this before. Mostly, there is the possibility to talk about it during an interview.

If you leave it explicitly, it will fall out and it will be asked. Just write it. There’s no question about children.
