Is it worth studying or training in photography with a focus on nature photography?

Hello everyone,

I'm considering whether to study photography with a focus on nature photography or start an apprenticeship in that field. I really enjoy it, and I could imagine doing it professionally. However, I'm wondering if it's realistic to earn enough money these days to make ends meet.

Do you perhaps have experience in this field or tips on career prospects, especially in nature photography? Do you know of any good schools, apprenticeships, or upcoming job fairs you can recommend? I'm grateful for any advice 🙂

I know a lot of general-vocational photographers who are now snapping around at the minimum of existence.

You really can't recommend photographers as a profession. No matter what area.

It's a wonderful hobby. But as a profession, I wouldn't want to.
