Is it possible to put a thin worktop on top of an existing worktop?

Hi, I have an IKEA kitchen with a gray worktop.

Now I don't like the countertop anymore. Removing it would be very difficult and expensive.

Is there a way to simply lay a new (very thin) worktop on top? It should ideally be no more than 1 cm thick.

What options would be available to me??? (I don't want tiles!)

I'm grateful for all the tips. ❤️🙏

Hello Rojigardens,

I would have a record of Resopal

https://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Resopal

make them quite insensitive, from which were/are coated breakfast boards and cutting boards!

No, I can’t. What could be: stick over with a decorative foil.

And therefore granite is the only vertical material for kitchen countertops.

how do you want to do this with the stove top, rinse? then hang in the air, with time water creates and dirt in between and mold alarm threatens

Ultimately, the most sensible thing is to buy a new worktop because there is no way past it.

1 cm???

This is toys! Why are worktops at least. 27 mm, or at best 40 mm thick???? There’s a scavenger knocked on it, too – do you want to risk it at a centimeter thickness?

Why is the expansion difficult?

What should be difficult and expensive to remove the old plate?

Maybe the plate is glued and installed in the wall

The streak is not glued, nor is it installed in the wall. Sinks, fittings and hobs must be removed anyway, then there may be 6-10 screws from below to remove the worktop.
