Is it possible to keep horses on your own property?

Hello

I wanted to ask about keeping horses in the backyard (since stable rents are very expensive). We have 2000 square meters of space for a stable and paddock, and two other plots of land, each measuring 3000 square meters and 5000 square meters (building a stable on the other plots isn't really possible due to the distance and the slope). We have neighbors on both sides of the house. Do I need to get permission? I'd be happy to provide information about keeping horses in the backyard.

Best regards, Marleen😊

Generally possible. Sufficient space is available. A regulatory approval and approval of the neighbours should be provided. With the latter, I’m not sure if that’s the key.

Evtl. yes for residential area, and possibly also no.

would I have to get a permit?

That on JEDEN FALL.

And if you allow it in the residential area… rather not.

Apart from that, I strongly assume that you underestimate the issue of horsekeeping in your own way. Also in terms of costs. A horse is not a guinea pig that you can put into your own garden without great effort.

You have to ask the municipality whether this is allowed in principle. And then all-hand editions, such as a fixed space for the storage of the Mist ect, come.

2000 square meters are quite little for more horses. The meadow would soon be ruined, and movement would have to be given to the horses in addition.

And if it really should not be forbidden at first, it may happen that the neighbours go to the barricades for so long because of the harassment they have received. Don’t be fun.

No matter what the neighbors say, you need permission.

And remember that such a horse produces a lot of dirt.

And stench. And in summer there’s a flying harassment.

Try to make your neighbor’s good-willing consent!

In a pure residential area you can’t keep a horse in the garden
