Is it normal not to want children at the moment?
Hello, I'll be 23 this year. I've been with my partner for about a year. I can imagine having a future together, starting a family, etc.
Right now, I can't imagine having children at all. Whenever I see crying babies, I'm filled with fear and panic, and I realize that I don't want any at all right now. I don't have any desire for children right now either. I enjoy spending time with children, like my cousins.
Things are different at 30. My mother had me at 34.
It's not possible for me professionally either, as I'm still studying. It's the same for my friends, and my best friend probably won't finish her studies until she's 29 or 30.
Is it normal to think like this at the moment and does it happen on its own?
This is completely normal.
By the way, it would be just as normal if you never developed a desire to have children or if you developed a very strong desire to have children in your late 20s.
