Is it normal for everyone to complain at work?
Good morning
I'm currently training to be a heating engineer and at work everyone just complains. As a trainee I have to listen to people all day long about how crap some other employee is or how badly the planning was. If something is ordered incorrectly, they immediately start philosophising about how anyone can go to the office and that it's not work.
And even though I'm just a trainee, I always think to myself, "Just shut up, it is what it is, whether I whine about it for another two hours or not, it has to be done."
Does anyone know this? Or is it just me?
Because if this continues, I have already considered changing the training company and continuing my apprenticeship somewhere else because I really can't stand hearing every day how "shitty" life is

When several people work together, someone is bound to screw up, and someone else has to take the blame, and they're not happy about it. If you have to deal with the same mess repeatedly, you'll eventually get annoyed.
In my opinion, this is completely normal-
But if it's so bad that everyone has reason to complain every day, that's certainly not normal. If it gets so out of hand that it devolves into gossip or blanket statements like "they can't do anything anyway," then that's not acceptable either.
No, that's not normal, but some people just can't live without the daily gossiping and complaining.
Incorrect orders or other errors happen everywhere, sometimes more, sometimes less. Most people are quick to complain and moan about them.
Many people complain at a high level about luxury problems when there's nothing else to complain about. Some simply need it. They wouldn't be truly happy and satisfied if there was nothing to complain about.
Even as a trainee you are allowed to speak up and say that such excessive complaining is just annoying and doesn't make things any better.
Just don't be too harsh in your choice of words or tone.

I've never had anything like this before—except for my current job. There, everyone's against everyone else—and it's really starting to get on my nerves!
