No, I usually drive very short distances (1-2km), I don’t think I need a helmet. I’d take one on bike tours.

I strongly recommend a helmet. I’ve been working at the bicycle store for 2.5 years, and in this time I’ve probably landed 20 wheels with us for an accident. I don’t think the 40 euros are too bad to protect your life.

If you want to set up a helmet, the property is absolutely necessary. 😉

The question is more likely, you want to put on a helmet?

In any case, you should not use a helmet (exclusively) because you want to feel safer. That could go back.

The helmet can protect, especially when you fall on your head. But feeling safer is, unfortunately, exaggerated, because there are still too many other ways to hurt hard or fatal in the event of an accident or fall.

Depends on what your physical integrity is for the case that you fall so value. If you’re unhappy on the beet, a good reasonably sitting helmet could help you live on….

Not necessary. I guess so. EIn fall with the wheel has happened quickly and at least the head is protected.

I’m just driving with a helmet. without feeling “naked” . there’s something missing.

P.S. By bike I drive between 6000 and 8000km.

The length of the way doesn’t matter. It can fit from the first meter.

I think bicycle helmets are indispensable for normal cycling in everyday traffic. In case of heavy accidents with cars, they do not protect, they are not done. And light accidents can be prevented with an attentive, safety-conscious driving style and a self-driving bicycle.

Generally, cycling is not particularly dangerous and who good conscience goes without a helmet on foot can also drive exactly as well without a helmet wheel.

However, a helmet can be useful for certain types of cycling (also in the hobby area).

If the 40 Euros are too much for you, buy one for 10 or 15 Euros at Aldi/Lidl/Tschibo… if they are on offer again. That’s better than nobody.

If it fails on the helmet, the cycling is better. Even without helmet duty, he has only advantages except you are afraid of your hairstyle.

Gives daily cases where the helmet would have been beneficial. You can’t protect your head when you fall, it’s gonna blow up the floor.

Because of 40€ risking a life in a wheelchair or even death when buying a bike, it is groundless.

must have a duty for everything? It’s your decision whether you want to wear one or not. Don’t complain if you wake up with a brain trauma after a fall, or if you wake up again

You don’t need a thing like that, and it looks…
