Is it allowed to process meat at home?
I would like to sell meat to end consumers in the form of a grill stand (e.g. hot dogs).
Since ready-made meat is of lower quality than homemade hot dogs and is also much more expensive, I would like to buy slaughtered meat in bulk and then process it with a meat grinder so that it can be sold directly to end consumers.
What legal regulations does my meat processing area need for the health department?
I have no training as a butcher or anything similar.
Can you rent extra space in a butcher's shop to process your meat without being a master butcher?
How do you imagine? Apart from the lack of professional qualifications? Meat of minced meat as a sensitive product should not be made for sale. I’m just saying meat regulation. HACCP training, health certificate etc?
Hygienic instruction and certificate from the Health Office:
The space, the work area and your tool must be hygienically approved for meat processing.
so not in the kitchen, but in a tiled hygienoid room with separated work and cooling area.
The cooling chain must be maintained. So check meat temperature at the delivery infect and docoment. Also in your cooling in your meat processing plant.
Ordinary supply chains, cooling and hygienic docomentation. The health and industrial supervision controls this.
No meat processing company will issue its area to a lay. They come in the truest sense in devil’s kitchen!
Nope can’t you fund it won’t let you rent such a place…
Just ask at the Chamber of Commerce what hygiene training you need.
Similarly, it is questionable whether you can do this business without training at all.
