Is eating pork forbidden here in Turkey?
I now live in Turkey, and in the shops there are meat products but no βpork.β And I think that is why there is no pork here in Turkey because that is not allowed here.
I don't know the government regulations here in Turkey, and I don't even know if eating pork is a criminal offense here or not. If you get caught doing it (anything unusual happens), do you have to expect a fine or a prison sentence?
99% of the Turks – almost all – are Muslim. According to Koran, Muslims cannot eat pork. In short: supply and demand regulate the market.
Why should a Turkish store (or restaurant) offer pork if no one would buy it? o_O
Pork dishes are also sold in Turkey.
Okay ππ
I just don't know
That's why you should research. A religious ban is not an automatic state ban.
So? Is that a state ban?
OK.
If one eats here in Turkey, despite the not Christian faith, βbig.β, then the others make fun of one, blasphemers about the one, or laughing out or sniffing him.
