Is an old BMW Z3 a good beginner car?

My girlfriend wants to get a red one. She's totally in love with the sports car. They seem to be very affordable these days, at least to buy. What do you think? Would it be a good first car?

Only as a 4-cylinder really affordable and affordable in maintenance. The engines are crap. As already mentioned, repairs on the top are extremely expensive.

In the case of the Z3 it is also necessary to listen to noises at the front axle. This is a prone, flaky faulty construction. In the case of refurbishment, only parts from Lemförder weden, then quiet returns.

Personally, I would only recommend this as a second car – in the first one almost every bulge drives and therefore a factory with a larger number of pieces and the chance of many cheap parts of the scrap would always be a good idea.

Depends on how the overall condition of the vehicle is.

If she realizes that a dent will come in, yes, otherwise no.

However, BMW has very high workshop costs. Convertible cover is vulnerable. Later to go to the satellite with leaks is also expensive. In addition, convertibles are expensive

Then the car only has 2 seats. For friends & acquaintances rather modest.

Nice car: yes.

Beginner car…. hmm

Rear drive (must not be bad) and a very moderate all-round view…

But: these cars are actually only THEN cheap if they either have a lot of kilometers on the hump or bring a repair store.

I'd be very careful.

Really? 4 meters are you too long for the city? Do you always leave your 2's almost half a meter longer at the Park and Ride and take the bus?

I know what you mean. You get used to it quickly, and then you can also park.

Just like the successors, the hood is also extremely long. That's true. Behind the driver does not come much anymore, which is why the overall length is longer at small car level.

Well. The thing is completely useless. Is a fun soap box to ride around for fun, but completely unsuitable for everyday life.
