IS AN HDD IMPORTANT OR IS AN SSD SUFFICIENT?

Can someone explain task 2 to me please Don't understand that
Good day, I just unpacked my new USB stick (SanDisk EXTREME PRO 3.2) and tested it straight away. For this, I loaded 13 GB of files onto the USB stick and this took a little over 3 minutes. What do these “mountains” mean (see picture)? There were a lot of small files that I loaded…
Hello. I need help. I keep getting disk write errors. Every few seconds. Not just on Steam. I formatted the drive and then ran CHKDSK /r to check it. It's still there. I just don't know what to do. The drive isn't very old. It's not brand new either. Should I throw it away, or…
Hello, I've just put together my new gaming PC, but sometimes it freezes for 1-2 seconds and then makes a noise when it freezes. I assume it's my SSD. Could it be? Because I have everything new on my PC except my hard drive, since I forgot to buy a new one. my specs: Rx6600…
Hey, I'm looking for a home office job where I can earn good money. I want to travel the world and work in other countries using my laptop. What kind of jobs would be possible? Lg
I think my SSD is extremely slow when it comes to downloads. But I wanted to be sure before I spend €200 on a new one.
If you have a lot of data like videos/music/images or something you want to put somewhere, then I would take an HDD. But this is going to be less and less thanks to Spotify, Netflix and Co.
Otherwise you can now completely switch to SSD. 1TB you get some of them for a good 100€, as I think there is no need for HDD anymore.
In a computer you use daily for playing or working, HDD is no longer necessary…
A HDD (or several) is preferably built into a nas where it can run constantly, because many start stops, damage the HDD more than when it runs continuously…
But I’m no longer using a normal SSD – in my computers I only have NVME’s…
So a normal SSD….only different format & protocol.
Other bus – the data are transmitted in parallel instead of serially as with the normal SSD..And without braking interface…
As long as (what he can) both do, it doesn’t matter. With many things it is more measurable than perceptible.
I’ve done the mistake, too.
Maybe. But the SSD I installed the other day (m.2 slot) was a SATA.
Then why is an NVME with PCI 3 slot around the 3.5 GBit/s Quick and a Sata SSD shaft only 500 Mbit/s
So, nvme is definitely faster, much faster, factor 7
A m.2 slot also allows SATA.
So I never want to have Windows on a HDD again. on a SSD starts Windows and all programs much faster.
Then buy a 256GB Sata SSD and also the xxTB HDD you need.
But yes, there’s only one HDD.

Edit: achso, you mean differently. then you don’t need HDD. The only advantage is that you usually notice the HDD when the one day gives up the mind (or can also measure with S.M.A.R.T.).
HDD = Old hard drives with mechanics = slower in data access
SSD = New hard drives with memory chip = very much fast, but more expensive than HDD
The best is always a mix of it. SSD as main disk for programs and operating system and HDD for storage space to save photos, videos etc.
What is the difference between SSD and HDD?
An SSD and an HDD have completely different storage types. On an SSD, data similar to that in the memory are stored in flash memories. On the other hand, an HHD writes the data on magnetic disks. https://www.computerbild.de/artikel/cb-Tipps-PC-Hardware-Unterschied-SSD-und-HDD-31380661.html
HDDs are cheaper, but not necessarily necessary. You can also simply use a larger SSD, but nowadays they are not so expensive.
A PC/laptop also works without HDD.
So I can just build a SSD and don’t need HDD?
Yes an SSD is in principle sufficient. But many save files/photos on the HDD, as 1TB HDD is much cheaper than 1TB SSD. On the SSD I just got games and the operating system on it.
Correctly, the SSD performs the same function for the computer as an HDD, only much faster.
HDD’s are usually slower than an SDD but much cheaper. HDD’s are more intended for images or video’s that are stored in an HDD. SDD’s are expensive again and the loading times are significantly faster than with an HDD and with an SSD my has no stuttering when you play. SSD is enough to get 500GB.
