My question is, could anyone who might own one of these AIOs share their opinion on whether these things are worth it? I'm planning on building a new PC soon, and I'm not sure if it's worth spending more on an AIO with a display, or if it will prove unnecessary after a while.

If I have a GPU that has 2x 8pin and use two 8pin to 2x 6pin adapters to only supply power with 2x 6pin or 1x 6pin per adapter, the card boots and works but the performance is throttled, right?
The question is in the title. I currently have a GTX 1060 6 GB. The games I play are Valor and Fortnite. It's really important because the graphics card isn't exactly used (i.e., cheap). If not, please suggest good alternatives in the same price range, thanks. VG

Without wanting to relate to yourself now, I feel this whole RGB and other “view sounds” rather than a child’s stuff. A computer should perform its services and not be admired as a colorful flashing brothel door.
However, fan / and pump controls with analysis display are not fundamentally useless, but then I would realize the whole thing rather in a suitable tower with a 5.25″ rack insert as an analysis unit for computers which, even when the display is switched off, should be able to perform their services in a rest and reliable manner.
This is just my personal opinion.
