Is a mechanical ergometer sufficient for Zwift?

I don't know anything about Zwift yet, but I've heard that you can use a standard mechanical ergometer with a speed sensor and an ANT+ dongle. Perhaps someone has experience and can tell me if you can use Zwift with this bike:

On the other hand, an ergemeter fully supported by Zwift can also be controlled by Zwift, so that, for example, at the mountain the resistance becomes higher.
