Is a DB online ticket only valid for ICE trains?
If you book a route that includes both RE and ICE, is the online ticket only valid for the ICE?
So you have to buy extra tickets for the RE?
Or does it apply to the entire journey (RE and ICE)?

The ticket is generally valid for the journey from the start to the destination station, even if different trains are used.
I'm pretty confused because that's so cheap (super saver price). The Lübeck-Hamburg route alone usually costs 15€. Get the whole route for 23€

As soon as a long-distance train is booked on a part of the route, the conditions of long-distance transport apply for the entire journey of the railway – and these can be considerably cheaper at the savings price or super-spar price.
I have also booked several times during longer trips (> 300 km) in regional trains at the beginning or end of the route a short piece in an IC or ICE (and then let down), only to get a savings price ticket for the entire route. (This trick is not unknown under experienced "rail savers", but a "normal passenger" will hardly come on by itself.)

If you book the entire route, the trains also apply. That's what you see in the connection overview.
If you buy a ticket for a certain distance, it also applies to the entire route – regardless of whether it is a ticket from the machine, by mail or online.
