iPhone XR cannot be unlocked despite the correct code?

I was using my iPhone XR as usual yesterday, and after I showered, it asked for a passcode as usual, but rejected my Face ID, or rather, gave me a message saying I needed to enter the passcode to use Face ID. I then entered my normal 6-digit passcode, which for some reason didn't work. What was also striking about the whole thing was that it didn't ask for a 6-digit passcode. I can enter as many digits as I want. I repeatedly used the SIM PIN, the first passcode ever, and the current one, and received a 6-hour lock.

The next time I try, there will be a 24-hour ban, so I'm asking for help!!
