Iphone 14 Pro battery drains quickly, needs to be charged three times a day?

Hello everyone,

I've had the iPhone 14 Pro for exactly a year now. Unfortunately, I have to charge the phone three times a day. I've written to Apple about it so many times, but unfortunately it didn't help. I paid 1200 euros for the phone. I went to Media Markt today and they said they can send the phone to Apple, but it could take up to four weeks. The annoying thing is, I don't have a smartphone anymore. The switch from Media Markt costs 109 euros, but I don't see why a smartphone that costs 1200 euros should have such a bad battery. My five-year-old Huawei actually has a better battery, even though it's so old.

Does anyone have the same problem? I'm really desperate.
The battery capacity is at 96 percent. After iOS 17.3.1, my battery capacity dropped from 99 percent to 96 percent within a month. For the first few months, my battery was really good. But after a few months, it got worse and worse.

Hello.

According to numerous reports, the iPhone 14 Pro models have all this “Battery Syndrome”. But much is also due to software. iOS 17 leads to a worse battery life after hM Also with me, the running time compared to iOS 16 has deteriorated somewhat. In your case, it seems very extreme. Loading 3 days a day is definitely not healthy anymore. There are several possibilities:

(1) Disable the placement services and background updates that you do not need. They eat a lot of electricity.

2) Always keep the apps up to date. In this case, too, it may cause the battery life to suffer if the apps still have an older version that is subject to errors.

3 ) If this doesn't help you, you could use the software Restore . connect the device to the PC/Mac via USB once, create a backup and restore the device. Here, all data deleted! After recovery, you land on the welcome screen and can set up the device normally or play up your backup.

4) If recovery fails to promise success, nothing remains to Apple Store or Media Market to run. Although the device no longer has a warranty, it could still have a defective battery. In the context of Liability of absence of Section 434 et seq. BGB free of charge. According to § 437 BGB you can do as part of refilling

  • to eliminate the deficiency; or
  • demand the delivery of a defect-free thing.

Note: Today iOS 17.4 . This could fix the battery problem. In a new update, the battery is calibrated. They could wait until tonight and watch the battery behave with the latest update. If not, I recommend following step 4.

best regards

I can understand a lot.

Since iOS 17.3.1, my battery capacity has fallen from 100% to 95%. I have had my 14 Pro since October 2022.

As for battery life, this has been generally weaker since iOS 17 than on iOS 16. Nevertheless, I find the battery life completely sufficient.

Here's my battery statistics, you can compare them to yours:

I would say that with your iPhone everything is fine. The worse battery life will be easy to do with iOS 17.

For what today's smartphones can do, it doesn't bother me to load one or two times every day. I usually charge from 40% to 80%.

Sura.

The battery capacity does not have much to do with the updates. Of course, if I eat new iOS version more power, the battery ages even faster.

What can be, after installing iOS updates, the battery capacity is recalculated. This usually happens after restarts.

The phone has a small battery. You have to explain this before buying.

Displaying the remaining capacity of the battery is not super accurate, but it seems to be with you in any case >90% so this is not the problem. There is no need for a battery exchange.

When you charge the device to 100%, when is it empty? Display time, standby time, WLAN or mobile data, and what apps you use would be interesting.

I changed to iPhone 15 Pro, I find the battery so creepy from iPhone 14. No plan, what's going wrong… it'll be reset. Or uninstall all apps! Unfortunately, I also have to pay off the device for 9 months at Vodafone. :/

I don't know if I let the battery change in the summer… :-/

well, if the battery capacity is 96 percent, and the iPhone will still be empty so quickly, then I suspect that no power saving measures are activated?
