It may be frustrating if a software update on your iPad does not work. Here are some steps you can try:

1. ** Make sure your iPad is connected to the Internet** – Check if you have a stable Wi-Fi connection. An update requires a good Internet connection.

Two. **Excellent storage space** – Check if there is enough storage space available on your iPad for the update. You can check this in the **Settings** under **General > [iPad] memory**. If the memory is short, you may need to delete some apps or files.

3. **Make sure that the battery is sufficiently charged** – An update cannot start or complete if the battery is too weak. Charge your iPad best before you try.

4. **Restart iPad** – Sometimes it helps to restart the device. Hold the **On/Off button** and the **Laut strength button** simultaneously (depending on the model). When the slider appears, pull it to restart the device.

Five. **Update manual try** – Go to **Settings > General > Softwareupdate** and try to start the update from there.

6. **Check Apple Server Status** – It may be that Apple’s servers are temporarily overloaded. Visit the Apple System Status page (https://www.apple.com/support/systemstatus/) and check whether there are problems with the update servers.

7. **iTunes or Finder use** (if you have a computer) – Connect your iPad with a Mac or PC and try to perform the update via iTunes (on a PC or older macOS versions) or the Finder (on macOS Catalina and later).

8. **Restore network settings** – Sometimes it helps reset network settings if there is a connection problem. Go to **Settings > General > Reset network settings**

If all these steps do not help, it might be useful to contact Apple Support or to have the device checked in an Apple Store.
