iPad defective?

I need help with my iPad, which may be defective. I have the following problem:

Whenever I use the iPad, it displays a black screen after a certain amount of time. The iPad itself continues to run in the background and makes sounds, etc., but I can't use it normally.

If someone has the same problem, how can I solve it or is the problem even solvable?

Apple itself says that I should buy a new one, and the warranty has also expired

iPads sometimes hang at the HDMI port. I’d clean the port. You can also see if a screen connection is active in the settings. If that doesn’t help, clean the rest of the device thoroughly. LG

iPads have no HDMI port.
