Now if I want to install a software update, it's iOS 17.
Is it possible to update my phone to iOS 16 instead of iOS 17?

No. Why don’t you want to upgrade to iOS 17. It’s quite useful.
For iOS 17, I only need 7GB storage space for the update I do not currently have.
That’s why I thought maybe I could only update on iOS 16 and that doesn’t need so much storage space.
Make it on PC with iTunes or the Apple apps or on Mac with the Finder.
