Invent puzzles?

I've already tried it myself but I'm confused how to do it.xD

I need a puzzle poem which is complicated but also solvable, perhaps with several stations or with several dead ends

The solution should be the date 14.2.1998

So if anyone is bored I would be very grateful

The text would ideally be half an A4 page in size…

Hello!

Here would be my proposal (Hoffe it fits approximately):

Station 1:

In a year long gone, memories were recaptured. The time is out of date, but this year, hiding something that was brilliant.

Station 2:

In this time, so long ago, a date which is difficult in memory. With nineteen hundred, then eight and nine, you will not miss the solution.

Station 3:

The number of years is now known, but the day is still hidden in the distant country. Search good and follow the light, The riddle reveals the date – simple.

Station 4:

The starting point is the shortest month of the year, My words are worth more than bars: “Denk to love, they will accompany you, The path of the mystery will guide you in joy.”

Station 2 thus reveals the year 1998 and station 4 the exact date, the 14th. February (Valentinstag), hope that could help you.
