I bought a game on Steam today and wanted to install it. Unfortunately, my internet speed is extremely slow, so instead of 50,000 kbps, I'm only getting a maximum of 50 kbps. And I really don't want to do that for 5 GB. My internet speed test says around 36 mbps, and I haven't even noticed a difference. I think it's Steam because, for example, I get 3.8 mbps on Origin. Does anyone know how I can solve this problem?

Yeah almost looks like that. While your 50 kilobits per second were already legendary on Steam, in 1998 there were already higher transmission rates with the 56 kilobits modems. At speed, your download would last 9 days.
A solution would be waiting because maybe after a two hour the speed would increase. Or cancel and restart the download in a few hours.
Settings -> Downloads -> Change Download Region, also try out beyond Germany. It’s a big help.
I have now set the region to Paris and finally have at least 2.2mbps
