Internet not working on your PC?
The internet on my PC hasn't been working recently. I'm trying to connect it via Ethernet.
When I plug in the cable it shows network and internet:
No Internet access Your device can only access other devices in your local network
The network information it displays in the Ethernet settings is:
Link-local IPv6 address
IPv4 address
IPv4 DNS server (it also shows unencrypted there)
Primary DNS suffix
Manufacturer
Description
Driver version (I updated yesterday)
MAC address
The driver for Ethernet is Realtec PCIe GbE Family Controller
When I try to open a website in Firefox it shows: Software is preventing Firefox from establishing a secure connection to this site
This is caused by Sophos SSL CA_C01001D77Q9VRE9 (at home with WLAN it works without this error, so it must be the network)
In Steam it shows Invalid SSL Certificate
The data usage for Ethernet since it stopped working was 67 mb, so the internet will work but is blocked by something on my PC I think.
I've already tried other cables and connections. I also reset the network on my PC.
Does anyone know what could be causing this?
“This is caused by Sophos SSL CA_C01001D77Q9VRE9”
There’s your mistake. Somewhere in the network runs a Sophos snake oil Wantgern Security Appliance, which sounds into the SSL connections and answers with a self-signed certificate. As your Windows does not trust the exhibitor of the certificate, it blocks all connections.
Talk to the admin of the network.
Thank you for the answer.
I’ll try to talk to the administrator. If there is no solution, can you somehow trust the exhibitor of the certificate?
