Internet catastrophe?

I have a Fritz Box 7590 router at work and a Telekom contract. My home is a maximum of 50 meters away. I don't have a LAN connection at home, so I ran a cable from work to house. There's a TP-Link access point in the house. I tested at least 160 Mbps at work, but only 10 at home. There are more than 10 users in the house.

I honestly don't know how I could improve it. I've tried several times to hire a company, but not a single one wants to come over. They either don't have time or say it's too difficult! That's why I wanted to ask you! There are probably plenty of professionals online.

best regards

Do you want to use the internet from the company? Why? I do not care. Probably you took a bad cable that doesn't deliver good performance to the distance. Simply take a Cat 7 SFT/P cable. First you can try the Fritzbox in the company put the connected port on 1 Gigabit. You can also try this at the Access Point. But I would make my own contract for home. best regards

Hey,

It's best if you get your own connection for your home. Overriding the distance of 50 meters is not easy and you cannot expect much. With 10 users, it's a tight box.

If you want, I can check what would be possible for a connection.

Use our contact form .
